  1. For the glaze, bring brown sugar and 1/2 cup water together in a small sauce pot. Bring to a simmer over medium heat until the sugar has melted and formed a thin, brown syrup. Cook for 10 minutes.
  2. Add Dei Fratelli Tomato Sauce, onion, nutmeg, and ginger. Cook for an additional 10 minutes over medium heat, stirring frequently. The glaze should look sticky and evenly coat the back of a spoon.
  3. In a large sauté pan, heat oil over high heat. Add carrots and snap peas and sauté for 4 minutes, stirring throughout. Carefully add remaining water and allow it to fully evaporate.
  4. Once water has evaporated, add the glaze and mix well. Sauté for one additional minute.

Recipe Notes

Garnish with fresh parsley and dried cranberries! For a little boost in sweetness, add sugar or honey to taste.
